Job Problems

I have an interview this Thursday with Chase. Basically, it’s a banking customer service position, that will include light sales. At this point, I’ll take it. Sure, it’s not my ideal job. I don’t like ‘required’ sales goals. (Though, it’ll be interesting to see just how much I’ll have to push on the real job.) A job is a job, but I’ve been thinking about what I’d really like to do. The problem is, I’m not sure if I have an answer to that quandary. More >

Slightly Depressed

Today’s been kind of an eye-opener, especially in the last couple of hours. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a touch depressed lately. More >

Here we go again! Time for me to highlight my week! :D

Movies Seen
I went to go see Legion yesterday. If you’re thinking of going to see it, please, don’t. It wasn’t worth going out to the theater to see it. It was okay, but it left me with questions, like…

  • Why would angels look and act like demons?
  • Is the baby the new Jesus Christ? It’s not too clear in the movie.
  • Why would God go through the trouble of ‘testing’ his angels by destroying humanity, anyways? Seems a bit counter-productive. More >

I figured I’d start sharing what I’ve done/read/eaten/wrote-about/seen over the last week. Think of it as my own personal Stumble-Upon. ;) More >

A Weird Day, And ‘Little Miss Perfect’ Thoughts

Today’s been an odd day for me. I think I’m just a little angry that someone didn’t call me like he was supposed to about a job. But, there are many other opportunities for me to explore, so I’m not going to be depressed all day.

At any rate, watch the vid really quick, so I can share my thoughts on a show Allen and I watched last week called Little Miss Perfect. More >

Goodbye, 2009

This past year held quite a few surprises for me.  If you had asked if I thought I’d be where I’m at now, I would have laughed in your face. (Yet, secretly wondering if there might be any truth to it.) 2009 was pretty much like any other year, with of course the big move to Columbus, Ohio being the major exception. It was a massive change, and one that I feel will still have major ripples for the rest of my life.

I’m relatively comfortable where I’m at though. I’m happy that we moved, and I’m excited about my future. I just need to decide what I want to do now… More >

Things I Miss About The South

OK, I’ll admit it! There are some things I do actually miss about the south. No, I’m not really homesick, but there are a few quirky things I miss about not living in Nashville anymore. Like what? Well…

Sweet Iced Tea
Go to any place to eat in Nashville, and I just about guarantee you that they’ll have sweet iced tea. It’s practically the drink anywhere you go in the South. Up here in Ohio? Ask for sweet tea, and people just look at you like you just lost a limb or something. “Ummm, we only have unsweet, tea,” Is the response I hear.

But although I miss it, I’ve adapted. I’ve been meaning to cut back on calories/carbs anyways, so I’m fine with unsweet or sweetened with one of the colors of sweeteners. Speaking of drinks though… More >

Sunday Reflections

Compared to the rest of the week, today was kind of a lazy Sunday. Nothing real ‘productive’ got done, but Allen and I did go out to see a movie and made (another) big(ger) purchase. With Allen playing with that new said purchase, I have some time to sit down and write down a few thoughts here/there. More >

Some General Musings

Early last night, my body just gave up. It said, “No more!” Allen and I have been working hard to get the apartment unpacked and put away. I think though, after all the stress of the move, then the intense physical push to get everything situated, just was too much for me. I went to bed around 9-ish last night, and slept for about twelve hours. This morning, my joints are sore, but I feel better mentally. More >

Exhausted, But Moved-In

Technically two days later than we should be, but we’re officially moved-into Columbus as of today. (If the awful movers hadn’t been late, we would have had all our stuff on Monday.) I am utterly, utterly exhausted as of this writing. But, I feel better that (most) of our stuff is here and I can relax. Out of the millions of things that could have gone wrong, thus-far, I’d have to say things have gone pretty smoothly. Of course, I laugh to myself that we still have a LOT to do, but I’m very happy at the moment. More >
