There Are MUCH Better Ways

You’re the manager of a local branch of business. You’ve got maybe 150 people under you, with maybe 15 supervisors and 5 senior supervisors. You think some of your supervisors are under-performing. Any normal person would either correct or fire the individual, right? But you… Well, you decide to fire all, at once. That’ll solve your problems, right? I mean, they can all re-apply and everyone will be one big happy family… right? More >

Jessica Simpson Fat? (Umm, No.)

I saw THIS article on Yahoo, about how Jessica Simpson is supposedly getting fat. Really? In the pic that’s on the article, she hasfilled-out a bit. She’s certainly not little miss skinny-minny, but instead I’d say she looks like any typical woman for her age. Honestly, it takes a lot of work to maintain a certain figure, and maybe she’s just decide to cut back? Give the girl abreak!

Thoughts On Panhandling & Homeless

I read THISarticle about how one particular panhandler was making $400+ a day. A DAY!!! (Maybe I’m in the wrong field…) It really does prove the point that there can be a stark difference between someone panhandling and someone who is truly homeless and helpless on the street. I thought I’d share some of my opinions on the matter. More >

Ted Haggard In Trouble, Again

Well, well, well… Not that I’m surprised in the least, but it looks like Ted Haggard had more than just one fling. And, again, not surprisingly, his church is trying to keep the matter quiet. (I don’t care what they call it… the end result is that the church paid money in exchange of the other guy not talking about it.) Like I said though, it doesn’t surprise me in the least. Haggard can claim he’s ‘cured’ all he wants to, but I wanted to share something today that will maybe show why his claims are bogus. More >

Tino’s First Weekend

So, it’s Sunday morning and Tino’s literally on my foot chewing on his bully stick. (Which I wouldn’t say lasts longer than rawhide, but at least it’s better for him!) Anywho, it’s been an interesting weekend with the new puppy. More >

Finding Pet Supplies Cheaper

So, Allen and I are getting our new puppy on Friday. (Can’t wait!!!) Dogs aren’t cheap by any means. If you think about it, a new puppy means a kennel, food/water bowls, food, collar, leash, toys, etc. (Thankfully I still have brushes and grooming items.) Out of everything, the kennel will be the most expensive purchase I’ll make tonight/tomorrow. Allen and I went shopping this-past Saturday to price some items, and boy they’re more expensive than you’d think. More >

Getting-Through Wednesday

It’s been an interesting week. It’s going a little slow, but at the same time, Monday and Tuesday seem like a blur this morning. Now that FORMER President Bush has gone back to his hole in Texas, Obama is now in the driver’s seat. I’ll have more of my thoughts on everything that went on yesterday, a little later today. But first, some really good news! More >

To Buy Or Adopt A Dog?

When you’re looking to get a new dog/cat/whatever, you typically have a choice: buy one or adopt one. Now, all of the animals I’ve ever had in my life were adopted. Now that I’m older and out on my own, I had considered buying a pure-bred dog when Allen and I decided we wanted a new pup in our lives. More and more, groups are pushing hard for people to adopt dogs, even going so far as to call you morally ‘wrong’ for buying a dog from a breeder when so many dogs need good homes. Of course, I have an opinion on the matter. More >

A New Whitehouse.Gov

One of the more interesting things to happen yesterday, in my mind at least, was the revampingof the Whitehouse’s website. It’s been ‘Obama-ized.’ Very clean, simple, informative and easy to navigate. The real buzz about it though, is how open it is and how connected the new president wants to be. More >

Give People What They Want

Sometimes you come across someone who just doesn’t understand why people just love President Obama. Well, just read what he says. Notice anything? Well to me, he speaks very well. It’s clear, not misleading and not sugar-coated. If you think about the last two years, we didn’t get a lot of that, did we? We had secrecy, deception, and lots of sugar to coat the bitter pills of bad tidings. The American people, in general, are thrilled to have this kind of refreshing change in our president. That’s why so many people love him. More >
