Back To Business
Dec 29th
I had only 4 1/2 days-off from work for my Christmas break, but honestly it was a nice change of pace. (Which, was no pace what so ever! LOL!) Now that I’m back to work with only one day off for New Year’s Day this week, I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. The holidays are over, and it’s time once again to start to focus on the more important things in my life.
I guess you could say over the last year, I’ve been rather ‘blah.’ I’m not really sure what’s caused it. I need to get over it, and I think the best way to tackle it is by sheer force. Everything I’ve been neglecting is going to get worked on, somehow. I think that’s part of my problem. I procrastinate and procrastinate until I’m buried under a mountain of ‘to-do’ lists.
You see a lot of people do those “New Year’s Resolutions” around this time of year. I couldn’t help but wonder today if those are really, “I should stop procrastinating” lists? I mean, losing weight, stop smoking, etc… those are really things people want to do, but put them off for whatever reason. I’m thinking that it’s easy to make a list, but much more challenging to actually get them done. This year, I’m going to try another tactic and just do my best to do them, instead of just talking about them…
