So, it seems like the holiday season for me is slowly but surely getting planned-out. This year, I’m wanting to make sure that I have a good season, but a good season that’s also a bit easier on the wallet. (As compared to years-prior, when I’d be dead-broke by New Year’s.)

For Thanksgiving, Allen and I are probably going to head to Kentucky with friends. While I’m always a bit leery of going someplace I’m a bit unfamiliar with, I also love spending time with Chris and Irene. (And hey, if Allen and I don’t have to spend a lot of money on our own dinner, I’m all for that, too!) I’m fortunate with work that I’ll have both Thursday and Friday off this year, so I can venture to various ‘Black Friday’ sales if anything catches my eye.

(Allen if you’re reading this, don’t read any further! ;) )

I’m not too sure about Christmas this year. Oh, I know Allen and I will be heavily-decorating the house, of course. I’m just not sure about everything else. I have a few things (surprises) in mind, but no clear-cut plans yet. Since this will be, hopefully, our very first Christmas alone, I want to make it special/memorable. I also don’t want it to break the bank, either.

I’m hoping this year, if I can plan-ahead far enough, I can think of something really sweet to do that also will be a bit ‘budget-minded.’
